The faculty of Agriculture was established in 2019 with the target to contribute to the national agricultural research & development by providing quality agricultural graduates in different sectors of agriculture who could take the challenges of the modern world to ensure food and nutrition security as well as sustainable agricultural development. It is the second-largest faculty of Khulna Agricultural University (KAU). The faculty has designed possible fundamental and demand-driven course curricula to achieve the target.
The Faculty comprises with 11 academic departments: Agronomy, Soil Science, Entomology, Horticulture, Plant Pathology, Crop Botany, Plant Genetics & Biotechnology, Agricultural Extension and Information System, Agricultural Chemistry, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and Agroforestry. Currently, the faculty offers B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) degree only of four years duration for the students of home and abroad.
The faculty has highly qualified, energetic teachers who are dedicated to their duties and responsibilities. Through collaborative research program, the faculty is going to establish a good linkage with the institutes and universities at home and abroad.
